HILLCRAFT

What we would build for a restaurant

The table of twenty that never turned up? Paid for.

A complete reservation and payment system built from the ground up for your restaurant: tables and sittings on your own site, an Apple Pay or card deposit the moment a group books, and confirmations by WhatsApp and email that send themselves. Add QR order-and-pay at the table with nothing to download, and a native iPhone diary for the floor.

What goes wrong today

"We only take bookings via our WhatsApp line"

Two sittings, one phone, tables released after fifteen minutes, and no deposit. The group of nineteen that booked on Tuesday and never came on Saturday cost you a full sitting.

Eleven booked, nine came, and the review is about you

Two guests do not show, a table is taken away, and the Tripadvisor review calls it rude. Without a deposit there is no polite way to protect the sitting.

A reservation form that just emails a Gmail inbox

A popup that sends a request, then silence until someone checks the inbox. No availability, no confirmation, and guests who turned up on the strength of a form they were never sure went through.

A QR menu that shows a 404

A rented QR-menu subscription that lapsed, a domain that now shows "page not found", and reviews about not being offered change on a cash bill. The menu and the payment should be yours.

What we build for you, from the ground up

  1. Tables, sittings and the terrace as real capacity

Your floor plan as the engine knows it: tables by size, the 19:00 and 21:00 sittings, the terrace in summer, the back room for parties. A booking holds the table while the guest types and confirms inside a transaction, so the floor is never oversold.

  2. Deposits for groups, not for couples

A card or Apple Pay deposit that switches on above the party size you choose, on Saturdays, on Sunday roast, on New Year's Eve. Refunded automatically when they arrive, or kept when they do not.

  3. Confirmations and reminders that send themselves

WhatsApp and email in the guest's language with the time, the sitting rules and the restaurant pinned in Apple Maps, and a reminder that morning with a one-tap "we're still coming".

  4. QR order-and-pay at the table

A code on the table opens your menu as an App Clip with nothing to install. Guests order, split the bill and pay by Apple Pay or card; the kitchen sees the order, the till sees the payment, and the tab cannot drift.

  5. Private dining and weddings booked properly

Packages for groups of 24 to 80 with a menu selector, a priced quote and a non-refundable deposit taken by card, instead of a wedding arranged over email with the terms in someone's head.

  6. The shuttle boat and the pickup slot

If you run a boat from the jetty or a minibus from the hotels, pickup slots are chosen at booking, capped by capacity, and the captain gets the list on his phone.

  7. A native iPhone diary for the floor

Tonight's bookings by sitting, who has paid a deposit, who confirmed this morning and who is late, on the phone in your pocket. Built the way we built The Chair for The Buxton Barber, with Face ID sign-in.

  8. The numbers the owner wants

Covers, no-shows, deposits kept, average spend by sitting and busiest hours, exportable as CSV.

The Apple layer your guests actually notice

Tonight's table on the lock screen

A Live Activity counts down to the reservation on the guest's iPhone, with the table time, the shuttle if there is one and a tap to say they are running late.

The reservation in Apple Wallet

A pass in your brand with the sitting, party size and deposit, appearing on the lock screen as they walk up. The host scans it and seats them.

Directions and a reminder that adds itself

The restaurant, or the jetty for the shuttle boat, opens in Apple Maps in one tap, and the booking lands in the guest's reminders with the right time.

The App Clip at the table

Scan the code, the menu opens instantly, order and pay with Apple Pay. No download, no account, no waiting for the card machine.

Tonight in the Dynamic Island

For the owner: a widget with tonight's covers and deposits held, and the next arrival in the Dynamic Island while the phone is in a pocket on the floor.

Payments in Türkiye, done properly

Deposits and table payments go straight into your own iyzico or PayTR account or your bank's virtual POS, so nothing changes with your bank and Hillcraft never holds the money. British and European guests pay in GBP or EUR with Apple Pay or any card and see the amount in their own currency before they confirm. There is no marketplace or reservation-platform commission, and a deposit is refunded to the same card automatically when the guests arrive or cancel inside your window, with no IBAN and no chasing.

Questions we get asked

How long does it take?

Reservations with deposits come first so the next busy season is protected; QR order-and-pay and the iPhone diary follow. We agree a dated plan for your restaurant on a video call, and the winter close is the natural time to build.

What does it cost?

Fixed price agreed up front after a call to scope the floor, the sittings and whether you want pay-at-table. No monthly subscription, no fee per cover.

Do we need to change our bank?

No. Deposits and table payments run through your own iyzico or PayTR account or your bank's virtual POS; we connect it and the money goes to you.

Can it work alongside Google, Instagram and walk-ins?

Yes. The booking link goes in your Google profile and Instagram bio, WhatsApp enquiries get the same link, and walk-ins are added from the iPhone diary so the floor plan stays true.

Who owns it, and do you need to come to the restaurant?

You own the code, the data and the accounts. We build in Cheshire and deliver remotely over video calls and WhatsApp; a photo of the floor plan and a walk-through on a call is all we need.

Tell us about your busiest night

How many covers, how you take bookings today and what a no-show costs you. One video call to scope it, then a written plan before you decide anything.
