HILLCRAFT

What we would build for a cafe, bakery and ice cream

Order from the table, pre-order the cake, come back for the tenth coffee free

An ordering and booking system built from the ground up for your cafe: a code on every table opens your menu as an App Clip with nothing to download, cakes and breakfast tables are pre-ordered with a card deposit, and a loyalty club keeps regulars coming back. The owner sees today's orders on the iPhone lock screen.

Built and delivered remotely from Cheshire, UK · fixed price agreed up front

What goes wrong today

Orders in dribs and drabs

A group of twelve, three waiters, orders taken in rounds and food arriving the same way. The review says "check your bill", and it was an honest mistake.

The birthday cake ordered by DM

Cake orders in Instagram messages, deposits by IBAN or not at all, and a three-tier cake nobody collected on Saturday.

Cash only, no change

A card machine that is "broken today" and a review about not being offered change. Tourists carry a phone, not lira.

A QR menu you rent and cannot change

A subscription menu with someone else's logo on it, that lapsed once and showed a 404 on the busiest week of the year.

What we build for you, from the ground up

  1. Your menu as an App Clip

A code on each table opens the menu instantly, in the guest's language, with photos, allergens and today's specials. They order and pay with Apple Pay or card, split the bill by item, and nothing is installed.

  2. The counter and the kitchen in step

Orders land on a screen or a phone by table and course, marked as made and served. The bill is the sum of what was actually ordered, so "check your bill" disappears from your reviews.

  3. Cakes and platters pre-ordered with a deposit

Custom cakes, celebration platters and boxes ordered on your site with size, message and collection slot, a card deposit at the moment of ordering, and the balance on collection or in full.

  4. Breakfast tables and brunch bookings

Sunday brunch, the terrace and the big table booked online with a small deposit above your chosen party size, held while the guest decides and confirmed inside a transaction.

  5. A loyalty club that lives on the phone

Stamps, streaks and referral rewards with a member card in Apple Wallet, the same club we built for The Buxton Barber, tuned for coffee and cake rather than haircuts.

  6. A shop for the things that travel

Coffee beans, jars, biscuits and gift boxes sold on your site with Apple Pay and UK cards, built from scratch rather than on a marketplace, with stock that decrements when an order settles.

  7. The owner's iPhone app

Today's orders, tomorrow's cake collections, takings and the busiest hour on a native app with Face ID sign-in and a widget on the home screen.

The Apple layer your guests actually notice

The cake collection on the lock screen

A Live Activity counts down to the collection slot and shows when the cake is boxed and ready, so nobody rings to ask.

The member card in Apple Wallet

A loyalty card in your brand with the stamp count on the front, appearing on the lock screen when they walk in. Scan, stamp, done.

Directions and a collection reminder

The shop opens in Apple Maps in one tap from the order, and the collection time adds itself to reminders.

The App Clip on every table

Scan, order, pay. The menu opens in under a second with nothing to download, and the receipt goes to the guest by email.

Today's takings in a widget

For the owner: orders and takings on the home screen, and the next cake collection in the Dynamic Island.

Payments in Türkiye, done properly

Table payments, pre-order deposits and shop orders all settle into your own iyzico or PayTR account or your bank's virtual POS, so your bank stays as it is and Hillcraft never holds the money. Visitors from the UK and Europe pay in GBP or EUR with Apple Pay or any card and see the amount in their currency before they confirm. There is no marketplace commission, and a cake deposit refunded inside your window goes back to the same card automatically.

Built and running: the examples this comes from

Questions we get asked

How long does it take?

QR order-and-pay or pre-orders can go first depending on what hurts most; the club, the shop and the owner's app follow. We agree a dated plan on a video call.

What does it cost?

Fixed price agreed up front after a call to scope the tables, the pre-orders and whether you want the shop. No monthly menu subscription, no fee per order.

Do we need to change our bank?

No. Payments run through your own iyzico or PayTR account or your bank's virtual POS, and your existing card machine keeps working alongside.

Can it work alongside Getir, Yemeksepeti and Instagram orders?

Yes. Delivery apps stay for the customers who only look there; your own site and QR take everyone else without commission, and Instagram DMs get a link to the pre-order page.

Who owns it, and do you need to visit?

You own the code, the menu, the data and the accounts. Everything is built in Cheshire and delivered remotely over video calls and WhatsApp; the table codes are printed locally from files we send.

Send us your menu

A photo of the menu, how many tables, and whether cakes are a big part of the week. One video call to scope it, then a written plan.
