What goes wrong today
Quotes take an evening each
Dimensions in a message, timber and finish in a call, a price typed into a document after hours. By the time it is sent the customer has asked two other workshops.
The customer cannot picture it
A sketch and a swatch photo do not answer whether oak in that width looks right in their room. A configurator they can turn, recolour and measure does, and the choices feed straight into the quote.
Parts run out on the bench
Hinges, runners, a specific screw. Nobody deducted the last build, so the shortage shows the morning a delivery is promised.
Deposits chased by bank transfer
You send bank details, wait, check the statement, and start the build on trust. A card deposit at approval starts the clock the same minute.
What we build for you, from the ground up
A 3D configurator in the browser
Rotate the piece, change timber, finish, dimensions and hardware, click a part to read about it. Built on three.js with memoised materials, code-split so it only loads when needed, and a 2D fallback for old phones. The Arcade Wow cabinet configurator, reshaped for your work.
Quotes from your own rate card
The configuration prices itself on the server: material by volume, labour by joint count, finish, delivery distance and VAT. The rate card never reaches the browser. Quotes are versioned documents with an approval packet, the engine we run for Cheshire Lawns & Hedges.
Deposit, build, balance
Approval takes a card deposit and creates the job. Stages are ticked in the workshop app with photos; the balance is requested when the piece is finished, before delivery is booked.
A storefront for ready pieces
Stock pieces, small runs and gift items sold from a storefront built from scratch with variants, Apple Pay and full SEO. No marketplace fee, no template.
A stock ledger with build recipes
Every movement is immutable and audited. A build deducts its whole recipe atomically, undo appends mirror movements, and push alerts fire when a part drops below its floor. Photograph a part now, name it later. AWOW Stock, already running in a production workshop.
Supplier order sheets
The low-stock list becomes an order sheet grouped by supplier, with CSV export and a reorder history per part.
Invoicing and tax
Deposit and balance invoices with PDFs, expenses photographed at the timber yard, and a tax set-aside, from Hillcraft Finance, the system Hillcraft runs itself.
A workshop iPhone app
Face ID sign-in, roles for owner and makers, today's builds, stage photos, a kit-out list for site fitting and a hands-free mode for the person at the bench.
The Apple layer your guests actually notice
Build progress on the customer's lock screen
Timber ordered, frame glued, finish curing, ready: the customer follows the piece as a Live Activity, updated by the maker's tap in the workshop app, with the same iOS 27 technology Hillcraft Finance ships today.
A delivery pass in Apple Wallet
The delivery slot as a Wallet pass with the address pinned in Apple Maps for your van and a reminder the evening before for the customer.
A QR in the showroom that configures
Scan the tag on a display piece and the configurator opens as an App Clip preloaded with that design, so a visitor prices their version on the spot with Apple Pay ready.

Today's builds, parts below floor and deposits received on the Home Screen, with a Siri shortcut to tick a stage.

Questions we get asked
Do we need 3D models of everything we make?
No. We model your core range parametrically, so a table is one model with adjustable length, width, leg style and finish. One-off commissions still go through the quote form with sketches attached.
Can the quote include delivery and fitting?
Yes. Distance, floor level, fitting hours and waste are lines in the rate card, priced on the server like everything else.
How is it priced?
Fixed price agreed up front for the full system after a video call about your range and how you quote today. No monthly platform rent.
Will the stock system work offline in the workshop?
The app queues movements when the signal drops and syncs them in order when it returns, so a tick on the bench is never lost.
Who owns it?
You do: the code, the models, the data and the accounts, on your own domain and your own payment provider.
