HILLCRAFT

What we would build for a bar and pub

Match night booked, deposit in, tab paid from the table

A booking and payment system built from the ground up for your bar: booths and tables reserved on your own site with an Apple Pay or card deposit for the nights that matter, QR order-and-pay at the table with nothing to download, and event nights promoted by WhatsApp and email. Behind the bar, seventeen music-reactive visualisers in your colours on every screen.

Built and delivered remotely from Cheshire, UK · fixed price agreed up front

What goes wrong today

The Book-a-Table button is a wa.me link

Every booking is a WhatsApp thread with no date picker, no capacity and no deposit. The hen party of fourteen that booked the big booth for Saturday is a message from three weeks ago that nobody can find.

Sunday roast cooked to numbers that do not come

"Please book or first come first served" on Facebook, twenty roasts prepared, twelve eaten. A small deposit would have paid for the eight.

Tabs that drift and bills that get checked

"If you allow them to start you a tab, be sure to check it" is the kind of review that sticks. A tab that the guest runs from their own phone cannot drift.

Live music with nowhere to see what's on

Sax on Fridays, a DJ on Saturdays, a Sunday jazz roast, all announced in Instagram stories that vanish in a day, with no events page and no way to reserve.

What we build for you, from the ground up

  1. Booths, tables and the terrace as capacity

Your floor as the engine knows it: the big booth for eight, the terrace tables, the standing area on match nights. A booking holds the spot while the guest types and confirms inside a transaction, so nothing is promised twice.

  2. Deposits for the nights that matter

A card or Apple Pay deposit that switches on for groups above the size you set, on match nights, on Sunday roast and on New Year's Eve. Refunded automatically when they arrive, or taken off the first round.

  3. QR order-and-pay at the table

A code on the table opens your drinks list as an App Clip. Guests order rounds, keep a tab on their own card and settle with Apple Pay whenever they like; the bar screen shows what to pour and where.

  4. A what's-on page with tickets and tables

Every live act, DJ night and quiz on one page, each with a table reservation or a ticket that lands in Apple Wallet. Regulars can subscribe by WhatsApp or email and get the week's line-up on Monday.

  5. Screens that follow the music

Seventeen music-reactive visualisers in your colours and logo, driven live by the audio from the DJ or the sound system, on the screens behind the bar. The same Rust engine that ships on Arcade Wow cabinets, with simple controls for whoever is on shift.

  6. A jukebox guests can see

Internet radio, AirPlay, Bluetooth and Spotify through one player on cheap hardware, controlled from a phone behind the bar, with the visualiser on the screens. We built it in Rust for Arcade Wow; it runs in your bar too.

  7. The floor on an iPhone

Tonight's bookings, deposits held, which booth confirmed this morning and the tabs still open, in a native app for the owner and the manager with Face ID sign-in.

The Apple layer your guests actually notice

The booth on the lock screen

A Live Activity counts down to kick-off or the first set, with the table, the deposit and a tap to add two more people.

The ticket in Apple Wallet

A ticket or table pass in your brand for the party night, appearing on the lock screen at the door and scanned in a second.

Directions and a reminder for the group

One tap opens the bar in Apple Maps for the whole group, and the booking adds itself to reminders with the time.

The tab on their own phone

The App Clip keeps the tab on the guest's card, shows every round as it is added, and settles with Apple Pay at the end. No download, no disputed bill.

Tonight in a widget

For the owner: bookings, deposits held and takings on the home screen, and the next reserved booth in the Dynamic Island.

Payments in Türkiye, done properly

Deposits, tabs and ticket money settle into your own iyzico or PayTR account or your bank's virtual POS; your bank does not change and Hillcraft never holds the money. British guests pay in GBP with Apple Pay or any card and see pounds before they confirm; EU guests see euros. There is no commission to any platform, and a deposit is refunded automatically to the same card when the group arrives or cancels inside your window.

Built and running: the examples this comes from

Questions we get asked

How long does it take?

Bookings with deposits and the what's-on page come first; pay-at-table and the screens follow. We agree a dated plan on a video call, and the winter close is the natural time so next season opens with it running.

What does it cost?

Fixed price agreed up front after a call to scope the floor, the events and how many screens. No monthly subscription and no fee per booking or per round.

Do we need to change our bank?

No. Deposits and tabs run through your own iyzico or PayTR account or your bank's virtual POS, and the card machine on the bar keeps working alongside.

Can it work alongside Instagram, Facebook groups and walk-ins?

Yes. Every post gets the booking link, WhatsApp enquiries get the same link, and walk-ins are added from the iPhone app so the floor stays true.

Who owns it, and do you need to come out?

You own the code, the data and the accounts. Everything is built in Cheshire and delivered remotely over video calls and WhatsApp; the visualiser runs on hardware you can buy locally and we set it up on a call.

Tell us about your Saturday

How many booths, what's on this month and how many screens are behind the bar. One video call to scope it, then a written plan.
