HILLCRAFT

What we would build for a gardening, landscaping and grounds care

Quotes that price themselves from the customer's measurements. Crews scheduled from a phone. Already running for a gardening business.

This is the system we built for Cheshire Lawns & Hedges, a four-person gardening business: a quote journey priced on the server from private rate cards, capacity scheduling, versioned quote documents, an owner's admin called The Yard, and native iPhone apps for customers and the crew with a hands-free mode on the tools. Rebuilt in your brand, for your rates, owned by you.

What goes wrong today

Every quote needs a visit and an evening

Drive out, measure, drive back, type it up, send it, wait. Half the quotes go to people who were only curious. The customer can measure their own lawn on a map; the server can price it.

The rota lives in a group chat

Who is where on Thursday, whether the van is free, and whether that hedge job fits before the rain, all worked out by message the night before.

Customers chase for an update

Are you still coming today? Did you do the back hedge? A customer app with the job's status ends the calls.

Invoices go out late

The job is done Tuesday, the invoice goes out the following Sunday, and the payment lands whenever. Completion should raise the invoice the same minute.

What we build for you, from the ground up

  1. A quote journey that prices itself

The customer measures their lawn and hedges on the site, answers a few questions about access and frequency, and the server prices the job from rate cards that never reach the browser: measurements, seasonal factors, travel, waste, VAT and a labour floor. Live for Cheshire Lawns & Hedges today.

  2. Versioned quote documents

Every quote is an immutable document with an approval packet. Change the scope and a new version is issued; the old one stays on record.

  3. Capacity scheduling

Crews, vans and hours as real capacity. A job reserves before it confirms, so the diary can never promise a Thursday you do not have. A live weather layer from the forecast feed sits on the week.

  4. The Yard: the owner's admin

Quotes to approve, this week's jobs, crew loads, customers and what is owed, with passkey sign-in and office and crew workspaces.

  5. A native customer app

Request a quote, approve it, see the next visit and follow the garden from the phone. Shipped as CLH Customer on iOS 27.

  6. A native crew app with a hands-free mode

Today's jobs, directions, a tick per task, photos at the end, and a 'Barrow' mode for the person on the tools: big targets, one-thumb, gloves on. Shipped as CLH Work, with an Android twin.

  7. Invoicing on completion

Marking the job done raises the invoice with a PDF and a card link; expenses from the fuel station are photographed into the same system, with a tax set-aside from Hillcraft Finance.

  8. Recurring contracts

Fortnightly lawns and seasonal hedges as standing bookings that fill the diary automatically and bill on a schedule.

The Apple layer your guests actually notice

Visit day on the customer's lock screen

Crew on the way, arrived, finished, with the photo: a Live Activity on the customer's iPhone, using the same iOS 27 technology Hillcraft Finance ships today.

Barrow mode on the tools

The crew app's hands-free mode: the next task in large type, one tap to complete, Siri to add a note, no scrolling with muddy gloves.

Apple Maps for every job

Each job opens in Apple Maps from the crew app, and the day's route is ordered so the van does not cross town twice.

A QR on the van that quotes

A neighbour scans the QR on the van door and the quote journey opens as an App Clip, no download, with their address already found.

Owner widgets

Quotes waiting, today's jobs and what is owed on the Home Screen; reminders for the crew each evening.

Payments in Türkiye, done properly

Deposits and invoices are paid by card or Apple Pay through your own account: Stripe or your existing provider in the UK, iyzico, PayTR or a bank virtual POS in Türkiye. Stripe is not available in Türkiye, which is why the payment step is built to your provider. Hillcraft never holds your money; the provider's confirmed status marks the invoice paid the moment it settles.

Built and running: the examples this comes from

Questions we get asked

Is this really already built?

Yes. It runs for Cheshire Lawns & Hedges in private preview, with the customer and crew apps on iOS 27. For you we rebuild it in your brand with your rate cards, services and language.

We do villa gardens and pools, not lawns. Does it fit?

Yes. The quote engine asks whatever questions your work needs, pool size, irrigation zones, visit frequency, and prices from your own rules. The scheduling and apps are the same.

How is it priced?

Fixed price agreed up front after a video call about your services and how you quote today. Because the system exists, the price reflects adaptation rather than a build from nothing.

Can the crew use Android phones?

Yes. The crew app has a Kotlin and Compose twin with hardware-backed encrypted storage.

Who owns it?

You do: the code, the rate cards, the customer data and the accounts, on your own domain and payment provider.

Send us a quote you typed last week.

We will show you how the same job prices itself from the customer's measurements, and describe the scheduling and apps around it, delivered remotely from Cheshire with a video call whenever you want one.
